OverviewMy name is Patrick and I studied mechanical engineering in Karlsruhe and Erlangen.
My first contact with Bosch was through an internship at the Bosch plant in Plochingen, during which I experienced series production and the market launch of a new product from the perspective of quality management. I visited the Bosch Rexroth plant in Lohr am Main as part of a factory tour organized via a university group. This ultimately led to me receiving a position for my bachelor’s thesis, in which I optimized a production line.
Two and a half years after my first thesis at Bosch Rexroth, I’m now also writing my master’s thesis. In my project, I am optimizing the entire tool management within the production hall and preparing for various upcoming challenges.
As a full member of a team, you get the opportunity to experience your future professional life while you are still studying. Personally, I was supported in all my positions at Bosch Rexroth and also challenged with exciting topics.
The best moment for me was when the first process optimizations had been implemented and my colleagues approached me with a smile. They were glad to be rid of annoying, time-wasting tasks, and pleased with the new features.
My work makes a direct contribution to achieving the plant’s goals. This makes me and my colleagues aware of the meaningfulness and relevance of my project. At Bosch Rexroth, in particular, I was taken care of in every regard and there was always a listening ear for any questions or problems I may have had. The basic parameters for my final theses were always kept very free, which meant that I was able to combine the theory I learned with the practice applied in production and, in some cases, found completely new and alternative solutions. This freedom enabled me to develop my full potential and come up with new and creative solutions.
The different skills and offerings within the Bosch world mean that there are countless interesting job opportunities in a broad range of specialist areas. As a full member of a team, you get the opportunity to experience your future professional life while you are still studying. Personally, I was supported in all my positions at Bosch Rexroth and also challenged with exciting topics. I only had positive experiences, both in my own department and throughout the rest of the company. The right offer is available for every phase of life, tailored to your personal needs and interests. I made the most of the opportunity and discovered the Bosch world for myself.
